"Men’s ministry in Horizon is all about helping men in practical ways to develop their God-given skills to become the unique men God has called them to be."

* To be the best fathers and husbands

* The best leaders in the workforce

* The best workers that build and add value to their place of employment

* To be good role models to each other, to young people and the community at large

* To have a positive effect on every person that comes in contact with them

* To be men of influence and impact in the community and into the nations of the world

This happens in a variety of ways:

We believe the best way a man can develop his skills is through becoming involved in the regular activities and training within a local church.

This includes:

* Receiving training at Sunday meetings

* Attending leadership training

* Becoming involved in home groups where relationships and personal skills can be developed

* Developing a personal relationship with Jesus through a life of prayer and reading Gods Word.

Men get together at regular social gatherings to develop relationships and assist and encourage one another.

We also enjoy each others company on the sports field, living out one of our key values “FRIENDSHIP BEFORE FUNCTION.” 

* On Monday evenings there are regular social soccer and touch rugby matches during the summer months. 

* Other activities have included fishing charters, an indoor cricket team and a father & children’s camp.

We believe it is still possible, and indeed Gods’ plan, for men to stand tall and be leaders in every area of life, using their God-given skills with sensitivity, integrity and strength.
